When to visit
October to February is peak season — the heritage circuit is at its best in cooler weather, and the rooftop is most comfortable from November onward. Durga Puja (October) is a particularly special time to be in Bishnupur. The rooftop restaurant draws visitors year-round, even in monsoon.
"The rooftop dinner overlooking Lalbandh at dusk was worth the entire trip. Nothing prepares you for that view."
